The Mexico is able to charm anyone, offering panoramas for every taste, a mix of culture, art, environment and history. The Yucatán peninsula is ideal for who loves the sea and archaeology, with bloated, resounding proof of the enormous growth achieved by the maya people in this region. I quote first Chichen Itza, an area of 3 kilometers and heritage for years among the seven wonders of the modern world.
The area is known as "the pyramids area" including the pyramid of Kukulkan (known as El Castillo): during the equinoxes in spring and autumn, the corners of the pyramid draws a shadow in the shape of a Plumed Serpent. Among other wonders there is also the Caracol (Observatory), the Temple of warriors and seven ball fields (the game of pelota "), a sport considered almost sacred, practiced for thousands of years by the pre-Columbian Amerindian.
As far as the sea is the most famous is the beautiful beach of Tulum with white sand, Palm trees and a sea only a few meters from the ruins of the ancient city: off there is the second largest reef in the world.
Not far away, Playa del Carmen is the goal of both sea vacationers, both of whom is looking for ecological and archaeological itineraries, must see in order to know the magic of the Caribbean from the Mexican side, to the fascination of the natural surroundings.
Playa del Carmen is perfectly connected with any archaeological site or ecological tour of the peninsula, but with all the tourist infrastructure and that informal style suitable also for younger ones. The Yucatan is famous also for its cenotes, a system of tunnels and caves, to explore even with masks and fins with local guides.
